Before they were left out
These stood in the older Bibles. The 1611 King James printed them between the Testaments. Many later Bibles dropped them. This English is the Douay-Rheims.
Holy Scripture
You are welcome. The Holy Bible is open. One God: the LORD.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
No account. The word is open.
Books kept for study are marked. They are not hidden, and they are not another god.
The King James is a good place to start. The older English is here too. Tap one, and the welcome you just read opens in that Bible.
It is not in the App Store, and it is not on Google Play. Those stores need your own Apple and Google accounts, and their review. That cannot be filed from here.
You can still keep it on the phone you have, iPhone or Android. It opens like an app, with the Bible on the first screen.
Come in. Open a book, find a line, or ask. It is all within reach.
Verse of the day
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalm 23:1 · King James
A short reading. Mark a day when you have read it.
This is the Holy Bible: the Law, the Prophets, the Writings, and the New Testament. Eight English Bibles anyone may read, and the same chapters in the language you choose.
Beside it, for study: the books many later Bibles left out, pictures, the scrolls, the stones, 1 Enoch, Jubilees, the Didache, and teachers who stay with the text. What is not the Bible is said to be not the Bible.
A plate sits under the verse, the way a pictured Bible does. Not every chapter.
Dead Sea Scrolls. Read the Bible book when the scroll is a copy of one, and look at the photograph.
QumranOpen the scrollsFinds from the ground set beside the passage they touch. A name, a siege, a blessing. Not a second Bible.
ArchaeologyOpen the stonesStudy tools for the verse, and pastors who preach the Bible. A person you can sit with is better than a screen.

Genesis and the Gospel of John. The same beginning.
Genesis mentions the sons of God. Jubilees and 1 Enoch, read in the Ethiopian church, tell the story. Jude quotes Enoch.
A psalm, the sermon on the mount, and the oldest church manual still outside the New Testament.
Isaiah’s suffering servant, the psalm Jesus prayed from the cross, and the crucifixion.
From Leviticus, through the Shema, into Jesus’ answer, and the Didache’s way of life.
